    Default ever increasing snail population!

right it would seem i have a snail infestation they vary in size from 1mm to about 10mm and are growing they look to be like Tiger (Black Foot) Trochus snails (of which i have in my tank) but with a flatter shell. not sure how many i have but its alot probably aproaching 100. tried to take a photo but they blend in so well! well my question is what to do? none seem to die so presumably they are all compeating for the same food meaning am i gonna get loads off die off contaminating my water?? help appreciated.

I had the same my snails reproduced like wild fire but i had a few hermit crabs as well and i can only assume the hermits picked off the ones that were weak or died off cos my tank was pretty spotless but there was no shortage of tiny snails crawling about:D

Bag some up if they bother you and drop em off at macca's he could distribute em to people like me that desperately need a clean up crew after looseing them all to an ammonia spike:D
    On my way back shortly!!!!:D:D:D

well the vast majority are very small but they grow fast so as soon as a fair number reach a descent size they will need rehoming

you will have to try and rehome a few otherwise they will have nothing left to feed on if they continue breeding.derek

Will they make good food for a reef lobster? If so I'll have some. :D
