My cleaner has been with me 2 years. He was pretty small on arrival, so I would think it is probably safe to say he is a little over 2 years old.
How long have you kept a cleaner shrimp for? How long do they live?
Curious again.:D

I lost both my cleaner shrimps recently. Had them for 2 years. Someone told me once that they live for 18 months to 2 years but not sure if this is an old wive's tale or not. Would be interested to know for sure.

If thats so, mine is definitely drawing his pension and on borrowed time. Poor old thing.:D

How long has any one else kept a shrimp for?
Thinking about it, whats the lifespan of a hermit crab? Any thoughts?

Eggs? Good one.
Any advances on 2 years for the cleaner?:)

Not sure about cleaners, but the lifespan of hermits was about 2 days in my tank until I got 'insert expletive here' hitchhiker crab out.:(
Now peace and tranquility restored its a bit longer:)
I have one left from an original pair which i bought off Neil of Essential Aquatics when he first opened his shop. Which in my estimate will be 3 years in January next and hes still going strong. Eric
Elder statesman there Eric. Thats where I got my senior citizen shrimp from too.
