Hi i have seen the middle upright taken out and replaced with a cross piece of wood with 2 uprights at each side for it to sit on so making it possible to get a sump in. A piece of 4x3 inch for the cross piece, and 2 pieces of 2x3 for the 2 uprights. HTH Twiggy:D:D
I have upgraded to a 48x26x30inch with a 40x18x18 sump which as a Bubble Magus NAC7 skimmer with a Eheim compact 5,000 return pump.

Hi mate I have converted my jewel vision 180, if you click on my name and then on all threads started by slinkyslink, go down to Tank re-vamp there you will see what I did send me PM if you have any questions. The best advice I can give you is have it all planned out before you begin.

Right as my 5 year old grandson not here bear with me:Das i try to type and explain how to do it
Make up the stand without the top and look straight at it,mark the left up-right that holds up the shelf A Mark the right up-right B and the rear wall C.
Take the 2 shelfs and place in another room so not to confuse you,you should now have looking directly down onto it a left hand L and on the right a mirror image take C and bring to the front from where it was and you should have two holes (From where you removed both A and B ) and match up and screw tight.
Take both A and B and place to the back of the unit . You will find one drill hole (where C went) you will have to drill the other in each corner take care as you do not have much room for error.
Place the top on mark up the back walls and drill dont forget to countersink you do not wont the screws proud.
TAKE YOUR TIME MARK IT OUT AND RE CHECK IT B4 YOU DRILL:goodjob:
