    Default Overflow box help

hello all, I thought I was getting a Schuran overflow box (the current model) but I ended up with this other model.
Can anyone tell me how to get the U-bend to pass water over?
Any other information would be great. thanks.

Only guessing here, but you could...

Make sure both compartments have water in, then feed a piece of airline up the U-tube and suck the air out?

Hi if you look on Schurans site there will be instructions on there, if i remember you need a small powerhead and a length of tube to pump water through it to start it up and after that it starts its self if power fails. HTH Twiggy:D:D

you can start it up with a small pump or as suggested a piece of airline up the bend and suck through,i put a small nipple in the bend with a small piece of airline connected so air can be drawn out if any gets trapped.derek

I think I'll just silicone some airline into the top of u-tube & put a little tap on it. When the flow slows down, I'll just give the pipe a good suck then close the tap again! Thanks for advice!!!!! :)

On second thoughts You can't keep an eye on it all the time so I deffo need a pump! Would a cheap maxijet in the overflow box be ok for my needs?
