    Default Hitchhiking crab - Sump or dump

    Just managed to finally get hold of a crab that hitchiked into my tank on some rock a couple of months ago it has tripled in size can't get a good pic to post just fuzzy but its a dark purpley/brown colour on top and looks dotty. sat ina tub at mo what's best to do with it?:confused:
    300l Cylindrical tank, 150w M/H, Newjet 3000 pump, 2 x Seio 820 P/H, Deltec mce600 Skimmer FISH - Cleaner Wrasse,Scooter Dragonete/Red scooter Blenny, 2 x Percula Clownfish, 4 x Green/Blue Chromis, Yellow Tang CORALS - Mushroom leather,Clove Polyps, button polyp, Lots of colony's of all different Mushrooms& Xenia CLEANUP CREW - 3 x Tiger snail, 1 x Nassarius snail, 2 x Astrea snails, 8 x Turbo's, 6 x Blue leg hermits & 3 x Mexican Red tip crab. 3 x Other white looking hermits

    Yep red eyes dots sat on head staring at me, big claws not real hairy but is a bit..

    As far as I can remember from Macca these are all bad things big claws predater I think ??

    I would still Sump though better than the bog :D

    He can't exactly do any harm in there can he now ;)

    Thought he prob was, I can't harm him although hubby will do deed but i think he'd be ok in sump just taken so long to find him again don't wanna let loose til sure!! :(

    I have a few which have trebled in size from my rock but they have spoon shaped claws & pick the rock to eat. I'm sure these won't attack the fish, They're scared of themselves.

    Sump him !! he's managed to survive this far so doesn't deserve to die

    I have found 4 HH crabs so far including a mean hairy crab :eek: all now reside in a crab section in the sump. Oh and i have a HH porcelain crab too who looks really cool
