    Unhappy Shrimp ID?

Hi my daughters tank has been clicking, and I have seen a clear thing about 1.5cm scurrying round the rock (body looks a bit woodlouse like in middle), then yesterday i found a moulted casing - see attached photo (sorry its a bit broken and fuzzy). Can anyone identify from this? The two main suspects from my research are pistol shrimp and mantis. Studying the shed casing, it doesn't appear to have one large claw for a pistol shrimp so worried I may have a young mantis. Any thoughts anyone?

Might well be, The molt look to be of the top half of a mantis, although had to tell by photo. The two arms (appendages) next to the head, do they have little spears or clubs?

    Mantis or pistol

    Sounds like an isopod

then yesterday i found a moulted casing - see attached photo (sorry its a bit broken and fuzzy).
Very hard to tell could be a full pod exoskeleton or the top part of a mantis etc.

hello chaps, guess what ive got the same thing, its been in my external filter for about 2 months or so.i heard clicking from the filter about 2 months ago pulled it apart for routine cleaning but could never find what was making the noise until the other day. its a pistol shrimp me thinks its got a transparant body and 1 large claw and is now housed in my dauhters 2 ft tank and is still clicking away like a good one.the one large claw is probably as big as the whole body,im guessing the body has no colour because its been inthe dark for so long it will be interestin to see what happenz when shes been in the light a while
