Possible bully???

Ive just been taking a close look at my fish and noticed quite a few have badly damaged fins:eek:

The fish with damaged fins are my small lipstick tang,my flame angel,and my strawberry gramma, out of the rest that are left who would you think is the culprit???

Fish are in my signature at the bottom:D

Hi Lee,

TBH I was surprised at the fish that have the fins torn.

I used to keep a strawberry Gramma - he took no BLEEP from any fish. A flame as well quite fiesty.

A thought, have they been the culprits, rather than something else.

I think a night sat in front of thank with a couple of tinnies is called for. :D

Ive also noticed that my smallest blk perc is missing:( some thing is definatley up!!!!

Your Moorish gone, other fish with torn fins ect, missing perc, something is having a go - crab?

wouldnt a crab big enough to take on angel fish be quite big and visible???

Yes I would have thought so, but may be a nocturnal crab, so hides when lights on, and attacks when fish are resting (lights out).

I am only guessing here Lee, but it is possiable. :(

What else? - another fish? Maybe a red light night is called for?

H Lee Tetley is right crabs hunt after lights out and when fish are holed up for the night, i had a large Teddy Bear crab in my tank and you never saw him during the day when lights were on but as soon as it was dark he was on the hunt but i got him with my tongs. HTH Twiggy:D:D
