Ive just got in from work (note the time:mad:) looked in my clown tank and the female's white stripe has turned black, is this normal? the males stripe is still white.
I know fish lose a bit of clolour on a night time but ive never known them to change completely
Hi John most fish change colour at night it so that they blend in with the area, my yellow tang goes white and my yellow rabbit fish goes all mottled. Dont worry as it will return to the right colour when day light comes, if not leave it quiet and keep an eye on it. HTH Eric:D
I have upgraded to a 48x26x30inch with a 40x18x18 sump which as a Bubble Magus NAC7 skimmer with a Eheim compact 5,000 return pump.
quite normal for some fish to change colour at night,my yellow tang would go very pale then resume his normal colour during the day.derek
