    Default red slime and no nitrate

    o-kay changed lights put in more flow put in rowphos readings are as follows ph8.4
    po4=0
    alk= 1.7=2.8 upper end
    nitrate 0.2
    nitrite =0
    amm =0
    ca = 410
    a new one for me kh about 120 is this right if not how do you change
    red slime is still present alan:confused:

    Hi Alan.

    It will take time, continue with rowa phos, syphon off as much as you can.

    It may be a while to knock it on the head.

    Hi Alan i think you have raed the KH test wrong as it should be round 8 or 10. Mine went upto 20 odd after dosing Sodium Bicarb but it is coming down slowly. Eric

    test must be wrong for kh ,should be around 8 or 10.mine kh was low but now it has gone up to 9,my nitrate is still high and also phosphate high but no slime alge.i think with me using 20k bulbs might be a factor,possibly the slime alge dose not like the blue light.derek
