red slime and no nitrate

for the first time in 30 years l have a nil nitrate reading l should be very happy that new tank and pleum system is working great but all my loverly large mushroomshave shrunk and soft corals look sad:mad: but all acro,s love it and l have now got red slime appearing in the day and disappearing at nite loads of current all round tank all para,s exellent so whats happening:confused:alan

Can you get any picturees of the red slime Alan?

Sounds like cyno, which is usually fended off with flow. Can you redirect some flow to that area?

agree sounds like a flow problem

thats the probleml thought the flow but the flow is so strong that the slime looks like the mexican wave :confused:

Whats the tank size, and how much flow have you got?

How much live rock have you got in there?
