a friend of mine used to keep one a few years back,used to go and collect his own specimens from the sea near the northumberland coast,being a diver helped a little.he used to keep the tank in his garage without any problems.derek
66ins by 60ins by 37ins deep. fish stock 7in moorish idol,9in blue face angel,6in blue face angel,6in regal angel, 4in powder blue,1 pair flame angels,3 bellus angels,12 alleni damsels,4in cleaner wrasse,1 pair red sea clowns, 1 Pair of wild percs and 1 Pair of black percs,1 fire clown,1 red sea clown, 2 orchid dottybacks, 3 yellow tangs,2 heteractis magnifica anemones,1 heteractis crispa, 2 red bubble tips.
There used to be a good North sea tank in Cleethorpes next to Pleasure Island. I think it would be a doddle to run and I have often though about setting one up :)
I know someone who has not long set up a cold water marine nano. A lot of the stock came from my local beach at Troon. Seems to be going well. He's a mod on another BB so if you want a link, pm me ;)

i know a couple of guys who have done it, they both look great. 1 of them has a tidal system to simulate rock pools.
I did my degree project on coldwater beadlet anemones (the red blobs on exposed rocks at low tide) and they were VERY easy to keep so I'm guessing other stuff would be too.
