    Hi Chris,

When I had a fish only tank few years back i had a yellow tang and it was the favourite of the family as mouse hunter says good fish reef safe ish mine did demolish a small polyp rock I got as a pressy although I was very green to that sort of thing,

Oh yeh back on thread every body who came in and saw the tank commented on Tangy as he was called,

sorry for waffling but you know how it is,

by BTW love the new tank you got it's a stunner:D ,

Got a Longnose butterfly stunning fish in my opinion far more character than a yellow tang and makes more of an impact as people straight away see it and comment. I also have a brown tang and they get on well no fighting. Never bought into the YT thing as they are too common (nice fish though) just remember if you get LNYB then you wont have any feather dusters left demolished in seconds.

HI Chris, have you thought about a Flagfin Angel as mine is a stunning yellow more brighter than my YT, and up to now hes not touched any corals. MT have a small one in there not cheap as i got mine from Reef Ranch at half price for £32, but he's a stunning little fish with his blue lips and bright yellow body. HTH Eric:D

go for the long nose butterfly once feeding no problem to keep.yellow tangs can be aggresive to new fish unless they are in a very large tank best to add last.derek
