Default Two holes behind Weir ?

I am planning on having two holes behind my weir, one for the exit to the sump and one for the return from the pump.

The plan is that if they are both behind the weir there will be no pipes running up the back of the tank.

Are there any strength issues with having two holes togther in 10mm glass.
Are there any guide lines for distance between holes?

Hi Pat are you having the holes in the back panel, if so they want to be about 70 down from top of panel and about 70mm between outsides of holes. Depending on what size holes your having i would say at least a 63mm hole for 50mm pipe for flow out and a 32mm hole for 25mm pipe return. HTH. Eric:D PS If you can wait until you come over on Thurday i will explain it then. OK:D

There are no hard and fast rules to spacing holes but if you space them as wide and as far from the edges as possible it helps to reduce the risk of a break.

I like to space the holes 4 inches to the inside edges for the holes and from the glass edge to be safe, but the mearsurments that Eric as supplied will also do the trick also.
