As Ian says abot 4-6 weeks. A good guide that the cycle is complete, or nearly complete, is when you see the wee copepods all over the glass. When that happens you are just about there.

THE FUTURES BRIGHT ...THE FUTURES RED AND WHITE
4 weeks was ok with mine but put in some good mature LR and watched the parameters very closely. Don't forget to acclimatise the critters for at least 4 hours.
i got some nice fiji LR from MT...most of it has the pinky/purple coraline algae on it.
one peace has some glow in the dark mushies on...looks cool under the moonlight LEDs. :D
just need to get hold of some test kits...spent this months money on the tank, salt and 6KG of LR...so will have to wait till next month now!
Hi Ricardo thats one way to make you slow down as a lot of people rush it when setting up a system and get a load of troubles. Take it slow and you will have a nice tank to be proud of.:D Eric
Thats a good way Ricardo, by the time you get your test kits that 6kg rock will have nearly cured:D Makes the job a little easier.
