Refugium

I do not have a sump so was thinking of adding a refugium to my tank.Are they woth the money/bother?

Just found one from a US supplier ..for £17!!!(size..18''x12''x4'') I'm trying to find out if they will ship over here since even with shipping it will be cheaper than the ones over here.

Hi,

I have a hang on back (HOB) fuge.

I have had it running for about 2-3 months now. I have various algea in it, and for substrate I have mineral mud, the fuge is lit 24/7 via a arcadia 11watt pod light.

If you have the space to fit one, then every time I would recommend fitting one.

It will reduce nitrates, and phosphates (algea will consume), it adds extra filtration to your tank, it will be a safe haven for pods ect.

All in all, a winner all the way. :)

They,ve said they will ship if I do the research into fiding a shipping co etc which is not a problem.They do refugiums from 12'' to 36''.If anyone has the time to have a look at them can you tell me if they look ok.
