Humphead Bannerfish

Does anybody know or has had any experience with these guys? Saw two today and absolutely loved them!!!!!!

I thought you had Whitespot on your fish so you cant go buying more fish until your tank as been empty for at least 12 weeks unless you will lose all the fish you buy with whitespot. It sounds like you need to slow down and think about the fish rather them being cute and buying them. What size tank do you have as you can only have 1 inch of fully grown fish in 6 gallons of water so a 50 gallon tank will hold four 2 inch fish and if you go above this you are going to overload your system and end up with a load of dead fish. I'm only thinking of getting them. I like to research the fish I get before I actually buy them. It's better that way because then i know the best way to care for them. I know how to look after fish, and I was only merely enquiring about them.

Thats fine then what size is your tank so i can tell you if its big enough to support the bannerfish. Twiggy

I have a red sea max 250, which has the white spot. And a aqua reef 275 litre, which is perfect.

A 275 litre tank would be a bit small for 2 Bannerfish as they do grow a good size i would suggest something like a 500 or 600 litre tank for them as a minimum. Twiggy

They will get to around 8" so need to be in a large 5/6 footer as Tangman says.
