    Default New tank


    Up and running for 4 days now, going to get another 5kg of rock at weekend to build it up a bit, really enjoying it all!!

    Take it slowly!! Fish and corals eventually not sure which yet tho! Way better than my trops already!

    very nice, get one of your powerheads pointing to the water surface, this will aid removal of gases, and also oxygenate the tank which in turn can aid ph stability, the other ph I would lower slightly to half way down and point towards the front middle, this will cause a great current in the tank which will make the rock more biologically active as the water will force unwanted food etc onto the rocks where the bacteria can do its thing.

    I do have an ex filter with spray at which is moving the water at the top is this enough, my ph location is the one thing I'm trying to work out still

    looking at the pic id have to agree move one lower and point upwards a bit as it looks from the pic as if you have a pretty still suface and have particles on it

    lift the left hand ph up so it is about 4" from the top and the water is churning about causing a strong current there, then give it a couple of days there to see if it works for you or not.

    its always trial and error as there is a few things that are different in every tank, shape, size, type of powerhead used, rock placement to name a few
