    Thanks ray
The chromis were with the ribbon when they were in my original first tank (see top of post) so i was not worried of putting them back together, the other fella is a strawberry basslet and is a bit bossy I also have a yellow wrasse in there that cost me £23 yet I seen one exactly like mine in another lfs and they wanted £50 thought was a rip off

I have had mine for 2 years.
I get told off alot because I dont do water changes religiously maybe every 3 months i dont use phyto or any other coral foods. I have an auto top up system and I only add salifert all in one and iodine. My tanks have been very stable and I realy think it is because I dont overclean and mess around with the balance off the system.
That being said It is totaly different when your tank is less than 2 years old IMO after that my tanks seem to do their own thing and stay balanced.

How did you introduce the eels? I ask because I was given a small snowflake a while back and I adult snowflake, I already had, went berserk. I had to get the little one out asap. I assume it was so much more aggressive because it was the same species invading it's turf but I have wondered if it would react the same to a different type of eel. A blue ribbon has always been one of the top fish on my waiting list.

    Hi Mate

I would first ask how long you had your other snowy before trying to add a a smaller one, however my first thought would be it is because your older snowy was showing who is boss and by adding the smaller snowy was asking for trouble. I have a blue ribbon eel that is with a 18" snowflake at the moment with no problems the blue ribbon is 3ft long. are you aware of how to keep a blue ribbon if so give us a pm and I may be able to help.
Snowflakes can live happily together if added at the same time or if your tank is big enough to give them their own rock space(hiding caves) if they dont have their own space then forget about it they will fight to the death. my blue and snowflake share the same cave but they have been together for nearly 2 years

I had my eel for probably a year and a half when this happened. I was thinking it was a territorial issue.

I have researched the special care of the ribbon eel. I don't think it will be an addition for my tank any time soon. I think I would probably need to uptank first anyway. Thanks for the advice
