Has anyone cut glass with a dremmel before?, my weir is too high by around 10mm and the lower braces can be seen, more of an eyesore than anything else so was wondering the best way of taking the 10mm off without stripping the tank down
Thanks

If you dont mind sitting there going through bit after bit (the diamond tipped bits too!!) for about a week then you can.
I actually dremmeled out a hole for an overflow in my old tank and it took HOURS and went through loads of the bits. also risky as it can easily crack (mine did but luckily it was within the bit I was cutting out and stopped before it went past the borders of where I was cutting out.
Mark.
Hi Cut it with a glass cutter then tap it and it will break on the scribe mark, then smooth it with a piece of glass paper:D Eric
I have upgraded to a 48x26x30inch with a 40x18x18 sump which as a Bubble Magus NAC7 skimmer with a Eheim compact 5,000 return pump.
a friend of mine cut the side out of my tank with a cordless drill and a good diamond wheel, took about 3 hours to do.derek
