    Default Ideas for calcium reactor effluent chamber

    as above guys, want an extra chamber post ca reator to pop some extra media in to bring the ph back up, what can i use. opened my second can of thinking juice and ready to throw some ideas around. would prefer for the effluent to go through all the media before dripping into the tank. KISS and cheap please guys!

    Chris at Cristalclearwater as a second reactor like a media reactor that the water goes through after been in the calcium reactor, he said it was for de gassing after its been through the calcium media. Twiggy

    yeah you can plumb in a second chamber, but you can also something simple like tupperware box filled with media, does the same thing. not sure how the reactor would behave having to force the effluent through the media. thing it wouldn't like it.

    would prefer it HOT.

    funnily enough, was just thinking the same, got some more the other week. pop a piece of pipe in it with holes about an inch from the bottom, media around it, leave an inch or two at the top and have an airline connector pushed through at about an inch from the top. that way flow goes through the media, airline connector won't get clogged with media.

    sounds like a plan!

    Ive taken mine directly to the skimmer pump , this way ( i think ) going though skimmer helps increase the PH . Mine has stayed at 8.1 ever since I stared to use my reactor .
    Skimmate has a horrible grey colour now . Paul
    72x30x24 plus 48x18x18 sump . Paul
