Blue chromis with green chromis?

I currently have a small shoal of three green chromis and was thinking of adding another three blue chromis as i like the movement the chromis create within the tank, iv had alook through my books to see if they would be compatable together and cant seem to find anything. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of keeping some blues and greens together in a 4ft approx tank? cheers cheers

Never mixed them bud so can't comment there but all attempts I've had at shoaling them have slowly ended up with one or two due to bullying. The two I have are at least 4 years old now. I got 5 female and 1 male lyretail anthias in January from a guy just outside Aberdeen and they've settled in well added to the 1 female I'd had for a couple of years. Stewart

Chromis always wittle down to the dominant pair-sometimes it takes a while but eventually the dominant 2 kill all the others.

Hi as Gaters says they do fight and get down to a dominant pair, Anthias would be a better bet or the Alleni Damsels as these are not like the normal Damsels there very quiet and passive and are a lovely metallic blue when they go in the light they turn nearly black when they go in the rocks. Yes they are like that and long and slim most shops have different names for them but the latin is Alleni Damsels. Twiggy

Hi i think the ones your on about are Fiji Damsels wjich are a rounded fish with a yellow tail which are terrors, the ones i mean are about 2 inch long with a narrow body. Twiggy

I have kept a shoal of green chromis since I set my tank up . Its a 6 footer so they have a large amount of open space . No fighting and all get on with each other .
