Always good to see corals spawning in the tank?
How is the mantis getting on? and what type is it?
Thanks for the very kind comments. This tank is still in the early stages so very much a work in progress but its coming along nicely.
I haven't changed the lighting actually, its still a single 11w compact T5 so we can only keep low light loving corals in it. Not bothered really as the tank is so small there's still enough light and it doesn't get too hot. And the main attractions are the mantis and fish anyway.
The mantis is doing ok. He's still teensy and very very shy. The only interaction we have is a tug of war battle when feeding but he still barely comes out of his hole. I've dragged him out on the feeding stick a couple of times but he darts straight back in. Just not enough time to take a picture. Wee Git by name and wee git by nature ;)
We have narrowed the ID down to a possible 3 species as he's a smasher, with white meral spots and a double pointed telson. But until we get a good picture we can't get Dr Roy to give us a definitive ID. I'm not giving up though :D
