    Default Copperband Butterfly - Feeding

I have a CBB, and have had him now for 3 weeks, I have managed to get him from feeding on live brine to frozen mysis.

But he wont touch any of my flake food.

I would like to get him onto flake food, any ideas of what I can try, or if any of you have a CBB that is eating flake.

To supplement his diet I am growing apeistia in my sump.

    Mike

Do you think Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef or Brine Flake would do the trick?

You could try soaking some cyclop-eeze in Chromaplex and seachem Entice.

Other than that....not going to happen I would think.

Get growing them 'pods my man

I doubt it'll happen. mysis, brine, angel & butteryfly mix are your best bets. had mine nearly 3 years and he wont take anything flake or pellet like.

Hi Mike Did the CBB feed at the shop when you bought it, if so what did it eat as most LFS dont feed flake only frozen food. I to am surprised you bought a CBB with all the trouble you have had in the past, it would have been a better bet for you to buy an easy fish to keep instead of one that looks nice and hard to keep. Dont get me wrong m8 i am not having a go at you, just trying to let you see the errors of your ways. Eric

Mine will only eat mysis, it will not look at brine shrimp, trick to keeping a healthy CBB is to feed through out the day, the more you can spread the mysis out during the day the rounder his belly will become.
Don't feed more, just feed the same but at different times.

I've had a cbb for over 3 years and it has never touched flake. It eats all the frozen foods and also gets excited when flake is added but never touches it. How long have you been keeping marines? I ask because a cbb is not a fish for an immature tank or an inexperienced fish keeper.
