Morning All,

Wanting to get the plumbing ordered today, just wondering what pipe to use and where to get it cheap!

Did price up online and came to £80 before P&P!

Here is my shopping list:

2 x Tank Connector with Clamping Nut - 50mm
1 x 50mm Rigid Pipe - 2.4m Length
1 x 50mm Ball Valve
1 x Tank Connector with Clamping Nut - 25mm
1 x 25mm T Piece
4 x 25mm 45 Degree Elbow
1 x 25mm Rigid Pipe - 2.4m Length

Any ideas where I could get the above any cheaper?

Pipe and fittings aint cheap, i get all mine from Fit Filtration just give Paul a ring and he will give you a price. Twiggy

Hmmm, hoping to get to fit tomorrow if Paul can sort me out a few bits of glass...

As per Eric.

The euro metric stuff does cost a little. Whether Effast, VDL etc etc.

Worth it for peace of mind though. The same stuff is used for swimming pools etc.

Will happily use imperial if cheaper! Lol!

Not sure why I was hoping something in this hobby was cheap!

(that said I did just get a free tank!)

you can get imperial uPVC pressure rated pipework, but it won't fit Euro skimmers, reactors etc unless you use convertors.

Doubt there is a lot of difference in price between metric and imperial in uPVC.

Some people use marley waste pipe and swear by it. Personally, I wouldn't risk it.
