Cleaner??

Stocking levels in my 5x2x2 at the moment are :

1 3" Yellow Tang
1 2" Scopas Tang
1 2" Regal Tang
1 3" Foxface
3 Clowns (all shoal together )
1 Midas Blenny
1 Yellow Clown Goby

I only have 1 cleaner shrimp, collecting another on Saturday but wondering if I should get a cleaner wrasse? Dont want it to pester all the fish though so they hide like it did in my 3ft'er I do intend on getting another 1 or 2 tangs and some smaller fish.

What happened to your cleaner wrasse? You don't need one, i don't have any cleaners/shrimps

I got rid on the move over as he was keeping all the fish hidden somehow!! Just thinking about little parasites on the tangs, regal showing signs of a couple, just wanted to keep them clean. The foxface I put in last night sat next to the cleaner shrimp for ages letting it clean away.

If you have Tangs you need a cleaner wrasse as shrimps are useless they just grab food and dont bother cleaning the fish. Its a load of tosh about them not living i have had mine for about 7 years now and the one before about 12 years so i think they lived there life out. If you only have a few fish they can pester fish that they hide but if you have a lot of fish you need one. Twiggy

i saw my cleaner shrimp cleaning my kole tang this morning, first time in 2 years of owning it i ever seen it do any work, lost my cleaner wrasse a while back, but want another one now it got bigger fish to clean.

I had my cleaner for about a year and only had a 2" regal to clean it ate anything I put in the tank or seemed to. Think il wait until I get a few more fish then get one.
