    Default Is this an olive Snail

    I bought four of these as harmless sand sifters, They were relatively Cheap at 4 for £5 so not too bad.
    I have since been told they are predators
    whats your opinions should i have them out or just leave themClick image for larger version.

    it is an olive snail, its a predator and carnivore but what has it attacked? a dead snail?

    No its not attacked nowt m8, I was/am concerned as to them predating all the usfull worms etc in my tank?

    ye it will eat the same food source as a sand sifter star, the only concern i would have is as you point out the micro fauna (possibly) and bivalves (oysters, clams) again possibly. Like all carnivore clean up crew if something is giving off an odour that its dying it will be consumed.
