    Over to you Eskimoigloo lol

I had one and kept all sorts of softies under it. It can depend on how high up the rock work the corals are or how deep the tank is though dont forget.

Plenty of light, shallow tank, imho you could keep pretty much put any corals in there. Definitely softies and LPS. Even SPS if they are on top of your rockwork and the flows good :D

I haven't found owt that won't thrive in my tank yet! In fact some softies curl up near the top and I have to sit them on the bottom. Chris @ MT is trying to persuade me to take a few SPS frags to try at the top of my tank... when they're going for a fiver I might! Hint Hint Chris ;)
Currently i have 3 types of mushies, toadstool, pussy coral, xenia, lobophytum, various zoas (polyps), start polyps, clove polyp, and finger leather coral. Most have started life as frags and are growing nicely. Only thing you want to bear in mind is in a tank as shallow as ours when open topped fish jump out!I have lost a mandarin and a scarlet hawkfish in the last month from jumping, am just working on enclosing the top of the tank again and adding fans for cooling.

I will do you your first SPS frag dirt cheap Chris. You just get a slower growth rate with T5, but the colours a great. :)

The egg crate might get a bit warm and distort over time, will also cast shadows in the tank... try it and see, but have a plan B and a plan C ready! wish I'd thought in advance!

I have cover glass but open up part of it and use some eggcrate to help prevent any jumpers. It has worked fine so far and doesn't seem to reduce and/or distort any light.
