    if it's phyto, then you can tell when it's fresh it smells of the sea, when it's manky it stinks of rotten eggs, proper rank.

    That sounds about right. Its not a pleasant smell but they are fresh but its rancid when they go off.

    hi, yes it must be stored in the fridge you can freeze for years

    seaside or veggie smell is normal if it has gone off you would not be able to even smell it as it will be so strong it will knock ya socks off! the rotifer feed must kept in the fridge or frozen for long term storage
