    Default is this an ast star

    noticed the little grey blob about week ago. it vanished after about 3 days in roughly same place. noticed again this morning so assuming is same one.

    it seems to be staying to LR rather than corals

    hope pic helps had to take on iphone cause camera is rubbish

    Almost certainly yes i'd say. Alot are algae grazers but they can reproduce to plague proportions. If you only have 1 i'd remove it. Although more could pop up.

    I agree deff an Asterina star I have loads of em the look a bit unsightly on the glass but a quick wipe and they are gone for a while till they climb back up,

    but if you see one you can be sure theres more that you didnt see.

    I would agree with removal on sight....brought in 2 or 3 several months ago on a coral and now removing up to 30 on a daily basis here....although normally harmess they become a real pain when they multiply

    best way would be a harlequin shrimp but but you will need somewhere to move it onto after ts ate them all or be willing to buy stars for it to eat
