    Default Bangaii advice?

I got two lovely bangaiis last week. I was pretty sure (as was the LFS) that they are male and female. BUT, the larger (what I believe to be male) really doesn't like the smaller (believed to be female). The smaller is now holed up in the rock work due to being chased. Should I assume that they are two males? If so I gather I need to somehow catch the smaller to save it and take it to the shop. OR can a male and female sometimes behave like this? Both are feeding on frozen brineshrimp although I'm having to target feed the smaller bangaii.

were they bought as a pair or just selected at random.when i purchased my bangaii i bought a group of six and two of them paired up and then went on to breed, the rest i sold on.the pair i kept always seemed to squabble with the other four so it could be the two you have are males.try waitng a little bit longer and moniter there movements.if they are still the same you could take them both back and try and obtain a genuine pair.derek

Thanks for the reply. The larger Bangaii still hates the smaller. Both are timid and are target fed twice a day with brine shrimp and are therefore looking healthy. Not sure whether to take these two back (if I can catch them:confused: ) or just add a couple more in the hope a pair will form and then I will sell the remaining two on? What do you reckon?
