    Default is this normal?

I bought my first bubble nem on Sunday and he seems very sick,
On Sunday I dripped him in over the course of hours he seemed ok but the rock he was on had a hole in it which he squeezed through over the course of the night.
Monday he was atatched to the same rock upside down, being impacient I thought I would upturn the rock, which I did for the rest of the day he seemed fine so last night I gave him a bit of prawn which he ate or so it seemed!about halfhour lter he regurgetated it and for around 10mins what can only be described as smoke coming the opening?
Then this morning he hed shriveled back through the rock and through out the day he has stretched finaly looking like the photo which I have just taken.....

Leave it alone it may be settling in, the more you 'mess' with it the more you'll stress it. What lights have you and how long has your tank been set up? Don't try to feed it for a day or two and let it settle. It doesn't look bleached so that's one good thing. Have a good read of karensroseanemones.com and of Cl0wns write up in the nem forum.

gaters is right ,i could take a while to find its comfort spot, just let it take its course, mine did this for about 3-5 days and is now settled and is 4-5 times bigger than when bought.

Thanks mike its our first marine tank.
the lights are a problem from the point of being advised to feed the fish at least twice a day that advice also states once in the morning and once/twice in the evening.
so we are out at 7am till 6pm daily as such the feeding ritual is to feed on actinics in the morning when the fish are just becoming active.
I could reduce the leds by any length realy.
we run a ton of rawphos in the filters which cuts back on the algae blooms and gives us a healthy slight algae covering on the front glass.
Which is easily removed with a hobby magnet,Infact the sailfin tang actualy follows me with the magnet eating the algae as it scrapes off, this makes that chore worth while.
This is just how I have found it works,But I must say I am nieve to the marine world and so take on any advice that is given.
Thank you and await your thoughts
    Dave

hi can you not run your lights 6.30am till 8am,say and feed just before going out, then run again 5.30pm till 9pm and feed when you return, I run mine blues 8am ish till 10.30am,whites 8.30am till 10am feed around 9ish,then gain blues 2pm till 9pm,whites 3pm till 7 pm and feed just after 3pm.
