Could I make a suggestion? if you made the frame out of steel, you would gain more room in sump area as thick wood wouldnt be used, no centre support needed and also the front when hinged at the bottom, when it is ' open ' would that mean you would be kneeling on the inside of the door to get into the sump? If its acrylic this would cause the outside to get scratched and also maybe damage the hinge?

Good idea but the only prob with a steel frame is that it wont fit through the door. Gone back to more conventional front door opening with 2 doors side hinged. Got a few other materials inline for the black just need to see a few samples before I get it.

now that i like, unusually and very practical. only thing is, won't the water slosh everywhere when the wheels go down the base?

    Hey that's a fantastic idea Timo !
u could put glass shelf brackets on the sides of the compartments so you could put glass covers on them b4 moving the 'sump trolley' that would prevent the water from sloshing around as clown said :)
If you need any samples for the high gloss finish you like ask paul at fitfiltration and I can sort some out for you :):goodjob:
