Ian, if you can turn your flash off you will get a better looking photo. (if its automatic, thn stick yer finger over it)

Nice tank Ian.:) The best time to take a pic is at night in a darkened room with just the tank lights on. Have your camera set to a high iso speed if possible use a tripod and do not use the internal flash of the camera. H.T.H.:)
Your tank's looking very nice Ian. As said, losing the flash and using a tripod or pile of books on a table are the best things you can do. That and keep taking loads and loads of pics until you get a good one. This is my method of saturation photography...by the law of averages one has to turn out ok ;) :D
