first of all i would like to thank everyone who voted for my tank:bowdown:.i would also like to thank wife for letting me do this tank/room and for not moaning too much when i blow what little spare cash we have on the tank:o.
this tank was started in march 2007 when i moved home,the tank a wharf built 8x2x2 was originally used for "tank busters" like arrowana and giraffe cats and the like,i had got the taste for marines and due to a set of truely unfortunate circumstances i found a weird bloke in ripley selling a rio 240 modified with a decent sized sump,little did i know that this weird bloke was to become one of my best friends stand up wayne brady;).i puchased the tank and set it up and was hooked almost instantly.here is a pic of the first marine setup
so when the house move can about i thought sod it the biguns gonna be a reef .

20 months on and after a bit of skimmer issue had an apf600 then upgraded to an ati250 but due to water height in my sump this sj=kimmer was next to useless so i aquired an ap701 a great skimmer and with me to now,and nitrate probs overfeeding over stocking i had a nitrate of 100+:o,feeding halved and a few fish moved on zeostart purchased and a 1300ltr water change over 10 days i have now cracked the issue nitrates <10 i am finally happy with the tank.so what do i do now? UPGRADE lol.
spec list and stock list:
8x2x2 display,46"x16"x18" sump with an inline 30"x16"x16" "frag tank"that has a single 150 10k halide over it but no frags as yet lol.
skimmer ap701,pf509 rowa reactor,v2 1500 calcium reactor run on a contoller.main lights arcadia series 3 triple 250w with t5 atinics supplimented by 5 12" strips of led blues.

large blonde naso,
large onespot fox face,
large copperband 4 years old,
3 large yellow tangs,
medium purple tang,
medium flame angel,
pair of peacock wrasses,
pair of physcadellic madarins,
3x pyjama cardinals (breeding)see pic later,
3 bangaiis,
shoal of lyretail anthias 6 females 1 male although a large female is turning male,
5 chromis,
pair of skunk clowns,
large royal gramma,

yellow tailed blue damsel,
2 cleaner shrimps,1 blood shrimp,1 boxing shrimp.

numerous lps,venturing into sps now:eek:.
flow provided by 3 x 6100 on a 7095 contollerkorallia 2,return from sump 1 3000 newjet and a ehiem compact 5000.
dosing 1ml zeostart2 daily,
