    Default Picasso Trigger.

    Hi guys.

Today I have been to my LFS for some water and to see what stock they had in when I noticed a picasso Trigger, Looked fantastic. I was really tempted, but I thought I better find out more first before jumping in with my wallet first. Now although I don't have a reef yet, that is the way I am heading, all be it, slowly. What I wanted to know was, are they reef safe, what to feed, how often, etc, etc. If anyone can give me some advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanx

    Si

Definateley NOT reef safe imo. Will eat all snails crabs and small fish and is very aggressive. It will also rearrange your rock work and demolish corals. Best kept in a fish only tank. Hth

Ive read different opinions to that regarding triggers.

Ive read if the snails/cards are in before the triggers they should be ok. Anything added after the triggers will treat as food.

I certainly wouldn't trust a picasso in my reef whether it was last in or not

I suppose it depends on the fish. I would have thought if you get a wild caught one (rather than from another reefer) it's more likely to hunt down crabs, snails etc as it would in the wild.

Hi Si Blue Throats and Picasso's are totally different in temprament. Piccasso's are an absolute nightmare when they start. My m8 had one in a FO tank and it ripped every fish to bits it was like a Rotty in a park full of Corgis. Twiggy:icon_cheesygrin:
