    Default Clown Fish

    Hi to everyone,

As normal im on asking for advice again.
I have two cown fish in a nano tank with live rock, corals & critters.
One of the clowns jumped into the back section, netted him out but he's got a bit of damaged to his jaw (Looks bit like fungus in tropical fish) LFS said i could use Myxazin at half dose and would be ok with my critters and rock but would like to know what you guys think.:icon_question:

I Don't have a seperate hospital tank i can put him in to treat.

He's had this for a few days now and looking at him today seems to have gone down abit.

    Cheers

If it were me and imo i would leave them alone. I wouldn't want to start adding any chemicals to a nano. If it looks to be going down then keep water quality tiptop and it'll probably heal. I'm not sure what's in myxazin but if there's the slightest trace of copper you can say goodbye to all your crabs, corals etc. Like i said it's only my opinion but keep the water spot on and you'll be surprised how resilient fish are.:icon_razz: hth

i would just leave it alone adding these medications can cause problems to corals even if they state they are reef safe.just keep an eye on the clown to see if it will heal itself.derek
