Good luck buddy, im in the same boat got a free turbinaria coral on sunday about the size of my hand, poor thing was just covered in algae. Once algae removed over 80% was bleached. On a good note its showing signs of polyp extension and has a bright yellow velvet look to it.

    So im optimistic.

Hey pal.. yes, there is always hope.. 99% of the corals in my 6 footer is saved corals in various stages of recovery. With good water, feeding and usually some good placement they are well on their way.
Hydnophora is a ****** though. Got one that I'm not quite sure where to go, but I'm leaving it at any spot for at least 2 weeks to see if it wants to live
