and i found out they have no stomachs (mental!) so this is why they need loads of food as they find it hard to get nutrition which they absorb in their intestines.

Yes this is true, and they also have a very short digestive tract, which is why seahorses have to consume so much to remain healthy, and often why seahorses kept by people that have not been educated on the proper keeping of seahorses often end up with dead seahorses after a month or so.
I have read places that suggest baby seahorses that get to the 2 week stage need to eat 2000 - 3000 copeopods a day to remain healthy..... sounds like alot to me but you never know...
