    Default cracking noise...

Id say ive either got a pistol or mantis shrimp in the tank.

All live stock was sold of this week, so purly LR and sand left in.

How could i persuade what ever it is to come out into the open :D

easiest way of telling the difference. IME pistol shrimps can crack in quick succession, ie crack two or three times in a row. mantis need to "reload" and have to have a pause inbetween cracks. also the pitch of the crack is higher with a pistol, mantis is a lower thud. gonna have to make yourself some sort of trap. coke bottle, cut round at the neck invert it, bit of bait, roberts' your brother's mother.

I fed the Mantis in my tank this afternoon He is learning to stick his head out of his favourate rock at feeding time , as I have been placing a piece of cockle by his cave with a set long set of twizers.
I will try and get a picture tomorow afternoon allthough he is only about 1" long.
