Default Phyto and rotifer culturing station

electric monk very kindly sent me some lovely rotifers through the post so i have now started some cultures of them and some phyto to feed them. got some cheap phyto off fleabay and some liquid miracle grow from yorkshire store, its on special for £1.99 for a litre. used 5 2litre pop bottles washed out, added 2 tablespoons of salt and topped off with ro. added rotis and some phyto to 3 bottles and phyto and 5mls of miracle grow to the other 2. an air pump and a load of airline, 5 way gang valve was added. had a sunglow tube and starter stick it all in a salt bucket and away you go.

obviously won't stay there as i'm still planning on getting married so will be going outside when i've hooked up the leccy in the outhouse. i know the roti's don't need light but they might as well go in there.

as far as i can tell any temp will do as long as its not boiling or freezing. expecting the tube to keep the temp in range, even in winter.

know what you mean about not having it indoors. mrs cl0wns words were, "that's not going to be here permanently, is it?" it wasn't a question either.
