    Default DIY reef flush system

this is how i spent my bank holiday afternoon. gonna upgrade the return pump on the perc 90 from 1000 lph to 2000 so i can feed this.

and reef flush in action used a 1.5mil drill bit on some waste pipe. drilled holes to keep the bottom clean (insert joke here) and some to clean the rock up from underneath. needed quite a lot of holes, just kept drilling and testing to make sure i had just enough to have the pressure on the jets enough to avoid wear on the pump.

    drilled some more

just push fit, but it can be solvent welded, tis a nice tight fit tho. it's also snug in the tank so shouldn't (touch wood) blow apart.

same size as the footprint of the tank. this is what i made so the flush will go underneath this.

the plan is to trim around the sides as it's one square too big.

the grid at the back makes the rock easier to stack as it grips to the grid, it also allows flow round the back.
