Default Unidentified hitch-hiker crab death mystery?

Firstly apologies for the poor photo, hopefully will be obtaining a new camera in the not to distant future.

Appears i had another unidentified hitch hiker crab (though don't think it was doing any damage as no stock lost recently)- had been hiding well as never new it was there.- its size is approx 1".

Fished the crab out (initially thought it was alive) though obviously when removed it was not and appears to have been a snack for something else in the tank (also thought it may have been a shedded shell until it was removed and closer inspected)

So obviously the two questions I have are:
    1. What type of crab is it? (if an ID is possible from the photo)
and 2. What do I have in my tank that's partial to a crab supper?

Current line up of suspects (that I know are in there), common clown, bicolour angel & bicolour blenny. Couple of mexican red legs & couple of red legs hermits, 2x peppermint shrimps (think there still in there (shy little fella's)) & sand sifter starfish + an assortment of snails, ceriths, nerites, turbo's & one I can't remember the name of but has pointy shell like a star. Not sure if any of the above are partial to a bit of crab, or do I have some other mystery killer within???

    Many thanks for looking
    Kev.

    Teddy Bear Crab maybe?
It could have died and been picked at by the hermits?

Thanks for the reply, googled on Teddy Bear crab led to an interesting site for crab ID. The image of a Teddy Bear crab didn't look like mine (though I suspect there will be some variation), but it did look very similar to a Hairy crab (where do they get the names from?).

Like the idea that it just croaked and has been picked over by the hermits - better then something else has killed it and is hiding within.

Looks like a xanthid crab, There are many different species. The thing that makes me think this is the shape of the legs, body shape and the claws although I cant see the claws at the ends. If they are pointed ends then I would stick by xanthid crab. When looking for an umknown crab then dont look for something with the exact same markings as it would be impossible to identify the exact species, look for the shape of legs, body and claws and you can usually find a match to the family.
