    Default air stones / air curtains

    I have been told that air stones jam in salt water but has anyone tried an air curtain? Is there anyway of reducing this, maybe forcing more air than normal through them? Just wondering if there's any way of increasing the skimming potential of a skimmer.

    Would a larger pump/more water through the skimmer pull more air in through the venturi system or is there a point where the water/air ratio breaks down.

    50,000lph pond pump through a skimmer? that would pull some air in.

    I've had beer......:eek::rolleyes::o:D

    I actually only have an MCE600 (which can't be effecient as it's bloody square!) but I was looking at the APF600 and wondering if it's abilities could be increased any. That set me to wondering if any others could be treated the same.

    from what i can see on the net, it uses the aquabee 2000 pump to feed, this can be mesh modded. would have thought the mesh or needle wheel would be more efficient than anything but a big air pump / wood block combo.
