    Default Shrimp Larvae?

Just finished doing a water change and replacing the filter sock and found this little fella when i emptied the old filter sock, looks like a shrimp larvae any idea which one, it's only about 2-3mm?

By the way, Does anyone empty their filter socks to save the pods that get trapped? Don't know if it's just me but i put the pods back into the sump, free food :p

Yep i check my filter socks all the time and any pods go in the sump, often find dove snails in there too.

Looks like a mysid shrimp larvae to me, and along with copepods of various sorts, one of the most common bugs in the tank.

Get them back in there like you are doing, fantastic free food :D

Could even be cleaner shrimp larvae.

i never use a sock on my overflow, anything that goes over foodwise feeds the critters in my sump, i dont see the point if you have a sand bed in there
