    Default Mantis Shrimp

When I fed my my fish earlier today a small mantis shrimp appeared. He was as bold as brass...came out, fed then went back into hiding.
He is about 1 inch long, colourless(I presume because he is small).
I have had no loses except maybe a couple of snails.
Will he grow?Do I need to worry ?

Depends if its a slasher or a basher sounds like a basher if it's taking snails do you hear clicking,

    A slasher will attack fish,

A basher will club things such as snails shrimps crabs,

    HTH ROB.

Amazing creatures, i have a 3 inch one in an external sump and he would wreak havoc if he was in the main tank. He makes short work of any snails that stray into his section.
I would start to think about catching it and sumping it or offering it to someone if you can't keep it. Please don't do what many do and kill it.
