Not trying to tell you how to run your tank but found this snippet thought it may help,

"Place this coral in medium to high light and medium to high water movement. When positioning the coral in the aquarium, be sure that it is lying in a way so as not to collect debris on the surface. If debris collects and begins to decay it can easily damage or destroy the coral by causing an infection"

Really sorry to hear about it.

I've got no idea how you setup has changed so I can't give any advice. Hope things improve for you asap.

All the best (& fingers crossed)

Looking how close they are to one another and the pics I've seen of Favia sweepers, it could well be the culprit. (my favias have manged about 2cm of sweeper extension so far)

pagoda now in my tank away from hopefully the culprit and see if we cant get it back on the mend :), blasted the `muck` off last night while it was being aclimed to my tank, considering how fast it was being damaged over the weekend this morn no signs of further damage, fingers crossed moving it was not too late and we will see some recovery from it, i know lilyann will be renaming the favia if that turns out to have been the problem:D
