woolies had hot glue guns for £2 so i got one and have plans for some diy projects. just wondering if the glue is reef safe. would think so....
Hi Peter it might be worth doing a google on what the glue is made of, as some glues are very toxic not saying these are but not worth the chance IMO. HTH Twiggy:D:D
I have upgraded to a 48x26x30inch with a 40x18x18 sump which as a Bubble Magus NAC7 skimmer with a Eheim compact 5,000 return pump.
i know i have used it in the past to stick small bits of grotton rock together, plus some rock to the back of a tank, to be honest though its not that strong, if thats what you are thinking of doing or similar, use milliput, you can get one thats more coraline coloured and its cheaper than the d&d stuff
yeah, read last night about someone who had hot glue gunned pegs to the back of his tank the attached the rock to that, so i did think it might be reef safe. was hoping it would be strong for making stuff like kalk reactors, phos reactors type stuff....
cheers timo, will experiment this weekend.
2 part epoxy every time on things with water in. Hot melt is more for flower arranging than sticking things together. Tried it many times I always end up using Araldite or similar :)
will save the glue gun for the ikebana then....
