I found this gorgeous wee fish at my lfs at the weekend and fell in love. TMC had advised that it was a tank bred Flame Tail Blenny but my lfs has a sneaking suspicion that it is a cross breed. TMC did not provide a latin name. It does have a passing resemblance to a bi-colour blenny but without the wee antennae on its head and face which most rockskipping blennies have.
Anyone seen one of these before and know if they have a latin name or are, indeed, a tank bred cross? I have a couple of other pics I could post if it'll help.

PS Please excuse the sorry state of the Porites in the background, it got buried by my blue cheek and I completely forgot it was under the sand. I think it's recovering :(

Thanks Oakwell. I forgot I'd posted this actually.
I managed to find only one site with info on these fish in the end. There doesn't seem to be many of them about. They are called Goldentail Comb-tooth Blennies (Enchelyurus flavipes) and are found in the waters around Bali. There's a company in the US that is tank breeding them so maybe TMC are now too.
He's a great wee fish and despite his diminutive size is quite happy to rough it with the tangs in the middle of the tank. Eats like a pig too. Would highly recommend one of these chaps to anyone.

Hi Our one has stripes running vertical as i saw him today when he came out to feed and he has yellow eyes, i cant recognise yours as i have looked in all the books i have and not found it. I will have a look in our Atlas at work and see ii can spot him. Eric
I have upgraded to a 48x26x30inch with a 40x18x18 sump which as a Bubble Magus NAC7 skimmer with a Eheim compact 5,000 return pump.
Thanks Tangman, much appreciated.
I'm a bit of a control freak with my fish and like to know as much about them as possible so I'm at a bit of a loss with this wee guy.

I actually thought he was a mislabeled bi-colour blenny to start with until I looked closely at him.
Maybe this could be Reef Corals first competition - a prize for the person who can find anything out about this fish
