Hi
Now we are talking, things are a little quiet here at the moment, and then this post arrives. Wow, sounds pretty good.
Depends wher you are, but if I am free on the day you need the lift, I could possibly help out. Again, depends where you are?
Kev
he is in Wakefield, west yorks, hth
Ok, depends on when, but I could be able to help.

Yes Wakefield West Yorks will have to confirm a day but the idea is to strip down my main tank and move it, then to rebuild it. I will then then have one final measure and order the tank and pipework etc and away we go!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ady,
What are you planning to stock in this beast? Full SPS reef I hope.
Skimmer wise I’d say the two AP 850’s might cope if you’re not going to stock it too full but probably best to go for something like the AP 703.
Should be able to lend a hand as well.
Cheers Matthew

hi scooby uk,firstly if you log on to www.eqj-trading (http://www.eqj-trading) .com to price up your halide light it will be a third of the price of the one you quoted, but just as good.for your tank ring ,carl on 01274 735690,for quote,as he is doing 6x2x2 for120 pounds, but will make a tank to your requirments.

You guys are all so helpfull :)
I have recently taken delivery of my new tank (60'x18'x24' with 48'x12'x12' sump) and am currently waiting on my dad to put together the cabinet. So in the next few weeks I will be looking to move my current tank from the living room to the hall so I can set the new tank up and have them running together before I swap the contents from one to another.
Any volunteers to help with the move? ;) ;) ;)

Well with a very busy couple of weeks over and done with the project begins this weekend if anyone is available to give me a lift will be starting about 11 am this Saturday. Plan is to break down my existing tank move it and re set it up out of the way so that I can build my new reef setup with space to work.
Cheers and hope to see some of you

Just an update to say thanks to those who helped out last saturday; Tangman, Jakepeg, Harrison, Ken and Derek. We got there in the end apart from the base starting to give way and the sump cracking it went quite well I thought. The tank is up and running in its new location and I have already built the base for the new tank. I will be ordering the tank in the next day or so and should be installed mid December time final measurements will be 84"x36"x30" and sump 72"x30"x20" and am going to take a step back in time after days of research and go for a plenum :) so watch this space......
Thanks again to those who helped and when I do the move I will let you know I will supply fish and chips, tea, coffee and beer to those who wish to attend:)
Cheers Scooby_uk
I am watching this thread with interest and a great deal of anticipation. Role on December I say.:)

Your welcome Ady,
Have to say that it was quite a learning experience for me, well, I learned never try to move a fish tank and never offer to help move a fish tank. How’s your stock coped with all the stresses and strains and how are your parameters I hope they’ve improved since removing that sandbed.
New system sounds like it’s going to be great, I love my plenum just remember to pre filter and keep the kalk additions well away from the bed and it should work wonders.
Cheers
Matthew
