Hi I have one of these for a while now up until a week ago he was feeding 2 times a week no problems on lance fish. Now though he does not eat he opens his mouth so u can put it in but then spits it out, he comes out to feed when every thing else does. The only thing different is a different brand of lance fish. He is still constantly swimming around and active.
Water is ok with only 10 - 15 ppm nitrate, ph 8.0
please help i don't want him to die

Hi as said could be a bad batch of lancefish so try another brand or the brand you were feeding him with. The trouble with feeding fish like this when only one type of food is fed they get stuck on it and can starve if its not available. What you need to do his get him feeding on all sorts of different foods ie lance fish, squid, whole mussels that way they dont get stuck on one food. HTH Twiggy:D:D
